Guest Lecture for the Interior Design with Indigenous Culture course at the Faculty of Art and Design, Universitas Trisakti — Interior Design Study Program revisited a fundamental question in the design process: where should design begin?

Together with Rudy Dodo, founder of Trivium Design Group, as the guest lecturer, students were introduced to the importance of understanding context—users, space, and environment—as the essential foundation before determining a design direction.

Indigenous culture was positioned not merely as a visual representation, but as a framework of thinking in shaping design decisions. This approach places design not only as a form of expression, but as a relevant, measurable, and contextual response rooted in its surrounding environment.
