As an Interior Design student, understanding lighting techniques for a room is crucial in shaping and enhancing the atmosphere. Lighting within a space should be designed according to the needs and activities of that particular room.

On Thursday, March 16, 2023, the Interior Design program at the Faculty of Art and Design, Universitas Trisakti, held a guest lecture event on the topic of “Lighting Techniques in Interior Design.” The guest speaker for the event was Agust Danang Ismoyo, ST, MALD, who is a lighting designer and the principal of architecture lighting at PT Pavilion Sembilanlima. He has been involved in numerous projects, particularly special lighting projects.

Hopefully, with the presence of this guest lecturer, students will be able to expand their knowledge directly on the importance of considering lighting techniques in interior design from various aspects. This includes the technical aspects of design, available space, maximizing the use of natural light sources, selecting appropriate luminaires, and achieving the desired style or aesthetic.
