Interior Trisakti Student On IISMA 2023 Journey (en translation)

In order to celebrate and give meaning to the moment of Indonesian Independence Day on August 17th and Heroes’ Day on November 10th, Jelly Tan, a student of the Interior Design program at Trisakti University, who is also a recipient of the IISMA scholarship, participated in celebrating the August 17th Independence Day through the Challenge HEROES (Humanity, Diversity, Culture, Beyond Boundaries) program with the theme “Unity in Diversity” and “Modern Heroism.”

In this activity, Jelly, along with other awardees, shared knowledge about Batik to introduce and promote Indonesian culture. Batik art itself is not something new to Jelly, as she has previously learned about Batik at @fsrdusakti, where Batik art is one of the courses in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at Trisakti University.

Acting as a mentor, Jelly, who is now also a national ambassador under the Kampus Merdeka Program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia – Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards, teaches Batik to foreign students in Sydney and has received a very positive response.

It is hoped that through this program, the values and spirit of Indonesia’s struggle for independence can be spread through activities created with individual creativity.

Stay spirited and healthy there, Kak Jelly! ?? MERDEKA!! ??????
